Level 1-2: Stretch, Strengthen, and Heal Yoga

This class is taught by:

Kelly Obermiller

Kelly has been an extreme sports enthusiast all her life.  It began with Motocross racing, transitioned to wakeboarding and water skiing, and then snowboarding.  Kelly earned her degree in Family Studies and Early Childhood Education while competing on the Wakeboard Team at The Ohio State University. The quest for the perfect slope inspired Kelly to move to Colorado where along with snowboarding, she enjoyed whitewater rafting, hiking and downhill mountain biking.   Both in Ohio and in Colorado she has directed and taught at various extreme sports camps serving children, adults and people with special needs.

Kelly was first introduced to yoga at a sunrise class overlooking the serene Rockies.  Yoga improved her balance, strength and flexibility, but went far beyond the physical realm by deepening her connection to self and spirit.  Kelly moved back to Ohio in 2012 to be close to family.  She graduated in November 2013 from the Still Waters Yoga Teacher Training Program. Kelly wants to support you in living your life to the fullest every day!

Heather Mahler

Heather is a wife, mom and yoga teacher...but what she really does is nurture wounded souls and bring people back to their bodies. Whether it's privately, or in a group setting, she will encourage you to slow down, connect to your breath, and learn to listen to yourself first.

Heather has been a lover of movement since she began ballet classes at the age of 3, dancing as a member of the Toledo Ballet Company from the ages of 15-23.
She turned to yoga in 1998 to support her chronically ill/ special needs son and has felt a strong and ever present calling to deepen her yoga studies since his passing in 2003. Heather feels specifically aligned with the healing aspects that yoga has to offer everyone, as well as the symmetry between yoga and dance.

Heather is a 2012 graduate of Still Waters Yoga Teacher Training and is a member in good standing of the Yoga Alliance.
Centered around a heart connecting theme, this alignment focused class provides you the space to heal your body inside and out.
Combining yoga therapeutics, traditional yoga poses, breathing and meditation, each class will focus on a specific area of the body.
As everybody, and every body is different, meet yourself where you're at for the day by using props (such as a strap, blocks and bolster) to help you strengthen, and increase your flexibility.
This class is suitable for all levels of yoga experience.

"Yoga helps people tap into reserves of inner strength to find new hope, resilience, and happiness."     ~Amy Weintraub
