Gentle Strength Chair Yoga: Regardless of age, strength, or flexibility, this class invites your body to respond to challenges on its own terms. Encouraging balance, strength, and freedom of movement, through the use of props, including the CHAIR, you’ll feel energized again!
Complimenting the physical practice, Kathie will also introduce the class to the Chakras. The chakra system originated more than 4000 years ago. There are 7 chakras ....which literally translates as wheel or disc....stacked in a column of energy that spans from the base of the spine to the top of the head. Chakras are not physical entities and yet they have a strong effect upon the body such as influencing our glandular processes, body shape, chronic physical ailments, thoughts and behavior.
You will learn how to use yoga, breathing, physical exercises, meditation and visualization to create more health and well being.
