This class is taught by:

Kathie Jaskolski

Kathie is the owner of Still Waters Yoga and Director of the Still Waters Yoga Teacher Training Program. She is registered thru the Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500. Kathie teaches a wide variety of yoga classes and workshops at the studio. She is grateful to the many teachers who have so selflessly shared their knowledge of yoga with her including, but not limited to Todd Norian and Ann Greene, John Friend, Doug Keller, Douglas Brooks, and a number of teachers from Integral Yoga. Her most recent influence has been thru the teaching of Todd, Ann, and John in the Anusara tradition. From that tradition, she remains committed to key principals of alignment which support each student in the fullest expression of not only their asana, but their lives, heart centered themes laced into each class, which support students in deepening their knowledge of the philosophy and stories of yoga, as well as creating a safe container for like minded individuals to support each other and co-create a better world as community.

Kathie has a keen eye for alignment. She is gifted at helping each student find their fullest expression of a posture. Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious. Students have FUN and often find themselves moving beyond their perceived limits. She has a knack for using stories, often humorous, as an avenue for a deeper understanding of the philosophy of yoga.

Compassion is an empathic sympathy for the distress of others, coupled with a desire to alleviate suffering.  A little bit of caring, a little bit of direction can mean the difference between life and death for some.  To know that others truly care can begin a journey to fight addiction or motivate change that shifts a life.
The instructors at Still Waters Yoga are joining Toledo's Seva Yoga Project to raise money for birth certificates and ID's for the homeless in our community.  Join us for Living Compassion:  A Donations Only Yoga Experience at the studio.  To honor the magic that happens when women gather for a common cause, Kathie, Heather Mahler, Heather Miller-Klingler, Kelly Obermiller, and Shauna Gilsdorf have co-created a flowing, compassion filled practice.  Thank you to Christy Gotfried and Michelle Clay-Gartland who can't be with us in person that day but are totally up underneath us in spirit!  Each segment will be 15 minutes.  The yoga practices will have modifications for students of all levels and abilities.
