Kathie Jaskolski

Kathie is the owner of Still Waters Yoga and Director of the Still Waters Yoga Teacher Training Program. She is registered thru the Yoga Alliance as an E-RYT 500. Kathie teaches a wide variety of yoga classes and workshops at the studio. She is grateful to the many teachers who have so selflessly shared their knowledge of yoga with her including, but not limited to Todd Norian and Ann Greene, John Friend, Doug Keller, Douglas Brooks, and a number of teachers from Integral Yoga. Her most recent influence has been thru the teaching of Todd, Ann, and John in the Anusara tradition. From that tradition, she remains committed to key principals of alignment which support each student in the fullest expression of not only their asana, but their lives, heart centered themes laced into each class, which support students in deepening their knowledge of the philosophy and stories of yoga, as well as creating a safe container for like minded individuals to support each other and co-create a better world as community.

Kathie has a keen eye for alignment. She is gifted at helping each student find their fullest expression of a posture. Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious. Students have FUN and often find themselves moving beyond their perceived limits. She has a knack for using stories, often humorous, as an avenue for a deeper understanding of the philosophy of yoga.

Kathie has:

  • Multiple certifications as a yoga teacher including a 300-hour certification from Todd Norian of the Anusara tradition and Basic Yoga 200 hour certification and 150 hour Intermediate Yoga Teacher. from Integral Yoga.
  • Studied Yoga as Therapy with Doug Keller.
  • Graduate of the Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy program.
  • Studied with Douglas Brooks, Tantric Yoga Philosopher
  • Earned the highest level of membership of good standing with the Yoga Alliance (a national yoga accreditation organization).
  • Membership in good standing with the Yoga Teachers of Northwest Ohio.
  • Graduate of Feminine Power 7 week course and 10 Month Feminine Power Mastery Program, is certified in Feminine Power Leadership Program. 
  • Multiple certifications in energy healing including Reiki Master/Teacher and Crystalline Consciousness Technique™ Advanced Practitioner.
  • Made yoga an integral part of her life since 1995 and has shared yoga with others as a teacher since 1999.

  • Level 1-2: Goddess Meditation and More!
  • Celebrating that yoga is SO much more than just poses, this class highlights the story of a Goddess as a portal to Shakti, the limitless creative potential available to each of us. Class will include:

    • Goddess story to awaken new possibilities in your life
    • 30 minutes of asana (poses) to stretch, rejuvenate and balance your body,
    • 108 repetitions of sacred sound (mantra) for healing the mind and the heart,
    • Pranayama to deepen your connection to spirit,
    • Mudra (hand gestures) to magnetize more joy
    • Heart opening meditation.

    We will honor each Goddess for 40 days, the standard length for a concentrated yogic discipline. Goddesses include: Lakshmi, Durga, Saraswati, and Kali. We will also create a community altar at the studio to that honors the essence of each goddess, offering her sweetness, not only to our class but to all who enter the room. This is a life changing practice inviting a deeper relationship with parts of ourselves we may have forgotten and then allowing that sweet connection to our TRUTH to bring more ease and joy to into all our relationships and into each corner of our lives.

  • Level 1: Basic Chair Yoga....Highlighting the Chakras
  • Gentle Strength Chair Yoga: Regardless of age, strength, or flexibility, this class invites your body to respond to challenges on its own terms. Encouraging balance, strength, and freedom of movement, through the use of props, including the CHAIR, you’ll feel energized again!

    Complimenting the physical practice, Kathie will also introduce the class to the Chakras.  The chakra system originated more than 4000 years ago.  There are 7 chakras ....which literally translates as wheel or disc....stacked in a column of energy that spans from the base of the spine to the top of the head.  Chakras are not physical entities and yet they have a strong effect upon the body such as influencing our glandular processes, body shape, chronic physical ailments, thoughts and behavior.  
    You will learn how to use yoga, breathing, physical exercises, meditation and visualization to create more health and well being.
