"I am here to prove yoga IS for EVERYONE, regardless of shape, size, age and gender. To me, yoga is one size fits all.
Heather is a graduate of Ohio Northern University where she studied broadcasting and musical theater. She has been a broadcast journalist, both on-air and in management, for more than 20 years. She and her husband, Shane, reside in Napoleon with their two boys, Kelan and Ian.
Heather completed her yoga teacher training at Still Waters Yoga in October 2014. She also completed a three-day yoga therapeutics training with Doug Keller in October 2014.
Heather is a certified Reiki practitioner.

All Access Yoga classes are here to prove yoga is one-size-fits-all. You will feel welcome and supported, as you are taught to experience all of the benefits of yoga regardless of your shape, size, age, gender or ability.
This upbeat, body-positive class will assist you in modifying yoga poses to your body's ability, to become strong, balanced, open, and flexible with a combination of movement, meditation and breath work. You will be offered yoga pose options, and be able what works best for you.
All Access Yoga honors and embraces our differences while celebrating our bodies with a yoga practice that finds joy in movement.
All Access Yoga is a Level 1-2 Class - appropriate for beginners and all students who are interesting in refining their practice.

Beginner Yoga Workshop
Want to give yoga a try, but have no idea where to start? Nervous to join a yoga class because you don’t know the terminology? Concerned you don’t have a “yoga body?” Think it will be too hard for you? Then Still Waters Yoga Beginner Yoga Workshop is for you. You'll learn what yoga is, where it came from, how to start your practice and how it can impact your life.
The two-hour workshop is designed to gently prepare you and help you feel more comfortable in all of our classes by breaking down the movement, terminology and components of each class.
In the company of other beginners, you will learn basic poses and breathing, some typical sequences and how to use props to adapt the poses to your body type and level of flexibility.
Yoga can help everybody and every body type to be more flexible, strong, agile and balanced in body and mind. Living more comfortably in your body enables better sleep, stress management, healthy weight and active aging. Take away the worries about your first yoga class and make your introduction to yoga an enjoyable experience.
